Suparule Cable Height Meter
The handheld Suparule Cable Height Meter accurately measures cable height, sag and clearance giving a much safer alternative to commonly used telescopic ranging poles.
With the use of ultrasonic signals the height of cables can be determined up to 75 feet/23metres. Short bursts of sound are emitted from the cable height meter which begins from the transmitter. The instrument then calculates the time for each sound burst to reflect back from the cable to the instrument. The result is shown in either imperial or metric units. The Suparule will automatically compensate for temperature variations as this can affect the speed of sound with the use of an acute sensor which detects the air temperature.
To take measurements simply stand beneath the cable or cables (up to six cables can be measured), aligning and turning the instrument on. Once the temperature has stabilised the ‘Measure’ button is pressed and a precise reading is given.
