In a recent accident involving a GS15 reference antenna, the ‘I-beam’ design withstood an 8m fall from a roof-top mount, down to a gravel surface. All associated accessories were destroyed, however the antenna itself continued to track! Rated IP67 and designed to “withstand a 1.0 m drop onto hard surfaces”, the kit continued to function for the duration of the project, though replacement tripods were needed!
