Following the release of Viva GNSS units such as the GS08, GS12 and GS15, some issues have arisen when connecting to SmartNet. With the correctly allocated user name and password, you can “F12” and connect to the NTRIP caster. However, in some instances, even when connected, the lightning arrow does not pulse, and corrections are not received. If this occurs, it is worth changing you ‘reference network’ from MAX to i-MAX, and similarly reselecting I-MAX-RTCMv3 as a new Mountpoint; (Instrument, Connect to Instrument, All other connections, F3/F4 on RTK Rover). Work on individualized-MAX for a few hours, before reverting back to MAX. In doing so, this should cure the connection issue. Alternatively, check your mobile-network-coverage as it may be the internet that is the weak link ( http://www.directmobilephones.com/coverage.htm ).
