GGA Position – refresh your GGA if the lightning arrow does not pulse
“Global Positioning System Fix Data”
Most reference networks require an approximate position of the rover. For reference network applications (SmartNet), a rover dials into the reference network and submits its approximate position in form of an NMEA GGA message. By default, the instrument sends GGA messages with updated current positions automatically when a reference network is selected. This position is then sent to the reference network as GGA message through the real-time connection every 5 seconds.
If your SmartRover connects the “NET1” and the “NTRIP Caster”, refresh the GGA message by:
F12 connect (connect to SmartNet)
Main menu
5-Configure
4-Interfaces
F3-EDIT on Real-Time
F2-ROVER
F4-GGA
Toggle the GGA Position for ‘Automatic’ to ‘None’, and F1-CONT
Then go straight back on F4-GGA, put it back to Automatic, then F1-CONT three times back to the main menu – the arrow will begin to pulse, and the position will resolve (cross with 2 ticks).
