RH16 radio-handle, the TCPS29 base-radio and the CTR16 radio-Cap.

Released alongside the latest version of the ‘SmartWorx Viva’ survey suite (v4.00), Leica Geosystems have proudly unveiled a new trio of communication devices; the RH16 radio-handle, the TCPS29 base-radio and the CTR16 radio-Cap.

A 10Hz update rate is possible when using the CTR radio cap on the CS Field Controller and RH16 radio-handle on the TS total station. Other communication devices (such as the internal CS Field Controller total station radio and like a radio handle RH15 radio handle) can still be used, but pro-vide only a 3Hz update rate.

The new RH16 Radio Handle with integrated Bluetooth module and radio antenna can be used as a radio modem for TS15 instruments. It will establish communication to CS15 field controllers with CTR16 Bluetooth caps (frequency range 2402 - 2480MHz).

The TCPS29B Radio modem (base) with antenna will be used as a radio modem for TS12/TS15 instruments to communicate with CS10/CS15 field controllers (frequency range 2402 - 2452MHz), much like the TCPS26/27’s for the 1100 & 1200’s.

To complete the trio, the “Communication CTR16 Cap” for the CS15 Field Controller has a integrated Bluetooth module and antenna. Use it to establish radio connection between CS15 field controller and TS total-stations equipped with RH16/TCPS29 (Frequency range 2402 - 2480MHz).
