Description

The Stream T is an innovative ground-penetrating radar (GPR) system designed specifically for tunnel inspections. Developed by IDS GeoRadar, a leading provider of non-intrusive utility detection solutions, this cutting-edge system utilizes advanced GPR technologies and methodologies to deliver accurate and efficient assessments of tunnels.

Tunnels play a critical role in transportation networks, and regular inspections are vital to ensure high levels of security. The Stream T offers an advanced solution for various tunnel assessment tasks, including measuring tunnel lining thickness, mapping reinforcing structures, detecting cavities, and locating wet areas.

To cater to specific inspection and construction site requirements, the Stream T is available in two configurations. The Full configuration allows simultaneous monitoring of both deep and shallow frequencies, while the Mini configuration is optimized for either deep or shallow surveys and features a more compact system size. Both configurations include a dedicated mechanical frame that can be easily mounted on an extendable telescopic arm, enabling efficient and safe surveying of tunnel walls.

One notable advantage of the Stream T is its contactless antenna solution, which operates up to 20 cm from the tunnel surface. This allows for swift data acquisition at speeds of up to 60 km/h (37.3 mph). Moreover, the contactless nature of the system enables it to be installed on a remote-controlled mechanical arm, enhancing operator safety and minimizing fatigue.

Key Features

Rapid data acquisition

The Stream T offers fast and efficient data acquisition capabilities. With its high-speed scanning capabilities, it allows for rapid coverage of large tunnel sections, reducing inspection time and increasing productivity.

Reduced disruption

By offering a contactless and non-destructive inspection method, the Stream T minimizes disruptions to traffic flow and operations during tunnel inspections. This is particularly important in busy urban areas or critical transportation corridors where minimizing disruptions is crucial.

Comprehensive reporting

The system is equipped with user-friendly software that allows for comprehensive reporting and analysis of the collected GPR data. This enables users to generate detailed reports, annotate findings, and share the results with stakeholders.

Versatile applications

While the Stream T is primarily designed for tunnel inspections, it can also be used for other applications, such as bridge inspections and underground structure assessments. Its versatility makes it a valuable tool for various civil engineering projects.
